KEEPING OUT OF MISCHIEF

In my spare time, among other things, I enjoy writing, singing, reading, thinking, dining out, traveling, inventing, designing stuff such as houses, creating new ventures, solving problems, keeping abreast of current affairs, tending my five cats, and helping other people and organization solve some of their problems.

As a very perceptive young woman once said, "Well, at any rate, they'll never be able to say you haven't had an interesting life." She may have had a point!
I love to sing almost as much as I love to write. Although not "of the faith" in either case, I Cantor as well as Lector at St. Joseph (Roman Catholic) Basilica and am lead voice in the bass section of its choir, and I am also lead voice in the bass section of Kol Truah, the choir at Temple Israel for the (Reformed Jewish) High Holy Days.
From time to time I do teaching gigs at College of San Mateo, University of Phoenix, Monterey Institute of International Studies, and elsewhere.
I write editorial columns for The View Less Seen, theater reviews for The Alameda Journal and The Alameda Sun, and occasional pieces for The San Francisco Chronicle and other publications.
As an offshoot from The View Less Seen, I've recently launched, and am nurturing, a related web site called Heathen Haven to support people who believe in Nature, Science and Truth and reject belief in anything supernatural.
I also write and direct plays, musicals, and books of all sorts including: mystery, philosphy, biography and children's.
And I enjoy playing Contract Bridge at all levels from Social to ACBL Swiss Teams Duplicate.
